So here's what I've gathered:

Track 7 is a different version of Ventolin [Praze An Beeble Mix]

Track 8 and 9 are just spin-offs of Track 7

Track 13 is a thrown out Analogue Bubble Bath track. It has many elements that bear resemblance to tracks from ANB 5 and ANB vol.3.

Track 12 is very much like Track 1 from Melodies from Mars and a little of Track 8 from MFM.

basically what it is are technically flacs but they sound as if they were ripped from 96kps dirty tape cassete recordings of average work by aphex. I don't understand why they are flac at all when they were clearly transcoded from something else

For the same reason why you wouldn’t put your granny in a standard retirement home if you could afford “maison du sunset”. Sure she would “survive” getting the proper food out of a big bowl on her plastic plate, but dude! maison du sunset, she deserves it.

lol, a person and a music file are not on the same level.

these don't need to be more than around 256 kbps. the only reason they'd need to be in flac is if you're paranoid about files degrading

I'm pretty sure there is a readme with the encoding history where they explain it.

Nah, the unreleased tracks sound a lot like they were recorded in 1994, same time as the other stuff released in 1995 (there is a year delay). One of the tracks IS a track released in 1995...

If it was recorded in 1995, it would sound like the high-octane computerized IDM released in 1996 on the RDJ Album.

(I just spent ages trying to find the interview where he says he recorded 500 tracks in 1995, 10 of which were released on the RDJ Album. IF someone has it, that would be great.)

There is a lot of stuff I used to think was bullshit that turned out to be true. Owning a tank for example, for the longest time i thought it was just him trying to get attention but it turned out to be true.

this stuff is very clearly made in the period just after ICBYD/just before HABs

agreed. I've always thought 94 era, although they may have been stolen in 1995. most of the ICBYD tracks are from 93-94 time frame with the exception of 'Come on you slags' and 'Wax the nip' from 1990
