Jesus christ I watch the match just to see if that was true...it was..I facepalmed and then hoped argentina would crush the US, but in the second half the US was very impressive. Terrific goalkeeping by Howard, and terrible goalkeeping by Andujar...

Messi without his Barcelona teammates is lost. He wanted to take on the American defense all by himself.

You can see Batista is trying to get the Argentinian side to attempt to play like Barcelona, lots of ticky-tacky passes, good movement off the ball and pressing high up the pitch.

Plus I wager if Batista and Tevez can work out their differences, the side will get stronger. Their defense will still be shit. Zanetti by himself can't be a whole defensive line....
