thanks for that. william also did an Invisible Jukebox in the Wire a couple of months back which was very interesting - he spoke at length about his great love for italo and came across as a very thoughtful, smart chap.

This second tune has me scared shitless. More so than any Whitehouse I've ever listened to, ever.

my friend saw bennet play a solo show once at a club somewhere in the east coast US, some guy was really drunk in the audience acting up and heckling william during the first part of his performance. Apparently william just walked off the stage extremely calmly straight faced and proceed to pummle the shit out of this person in the audience, punching him square in the face at least 6 times, he then calmy returned to the stage with the guy on the ground, ass kicked and continued playing as if nothing had happened.

sounds like an interesting lineup, was it at a festival or a one off type show? I always was curious if that infamous AFX knitting factory show actually took place or not (or another one of his cleverly spun tall tales) it seemed inspired by whitehouse or the Haters. RDJ is said to have put a microphone in a blender and played records made of sandpaper

thanks for the link. I've always wondered what "trangressive" author peter sotos had to do to get himself kicked out of the band, especially when considering stories like the one mentioned above.

Whitehouse live was one of the most amusing shows I've seen... Fantastic sonically but especially memorable for the delivery

it was Masami Akita & Russell Haswell, Whitehouse and Aphex Twin performing in Berlin in a place that was a former theater with chairs. Masami Akita & Russell Haswell where performing live without moving at all. Whitehouse did perform like a rockband with throwing plastic bottles at the audience and back and screaming around. Aphex was just DJing while hiding most of the time but you could get behind the stage as there was no restrictions and see him hiding there. The fun part was as there was no big audience I was able to have a small chat with him

lol awesome. on a semi related note, i remember reading an old post from john balance on the coil list about having a "vodka fueled fist fight" with richard james, but was never able to find any more information about it. the very thought of it makes me laugh.
