Guest elliot
beloved watmm, i have an msq-700 sequencer as well as a juno 60.If i feed the msq700 midi sequences(from ableton) will it, in real time, convert those sequences into the dcb format that the juno 60 recognises or is it like i feed the msq sequences playing the juno manually and edit them, play them back etc...? if its the later then the msq seems to be not much more than a 909 lookingish thing that can midi/din sync and be a rather annoying traditional midi sequencer. reason im asking this is i dont have the dcb cable to test this .. which i would def buy if i can could have a freakin midi'd juno 60 tl;dr can msq700 convert fed midi data into dcb data real time? thanks Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/64965-quick-question-for-vintage-roland-heads/ Share on other sites
Guest analogue wings
off the top of my head i think it will take the midi clock from ableton but not actually convert the notes (ie the sequence will have to be loaded into the msq) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/64965-quick-question-for-vintage-roland-heads/#findComment-1547630 Share on other sites

Guest elliot
if the sequences were loaded into the msq would that mean the dcb seqeunces could be atleast clocked externally? had a 106 me no like as much. although a midi retro fit would probably cost the same price as a 106 Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/64965-quick-question-for-vintage-roland-heads/#findComment-1547975 Share on other sites

acidphakist
This doesn't address your question but, having owned both, I feel that Juno 60 > Juno 106. In my opinion, it's worth getting your Juno 60 connected.
