I don't really ever talk about bit rates, I talk about how much I can bench and drink and how many women I've slept with, all of which are loads

I can bench about 320, easily drink a 24-pack of Vabst Blue Ribbon (VBR), and have flac'd a lossless torrent of women.

For me it goes like this:

kbps - KibblesPiss

32kbps - Trentith

40kbps - Fowaral

48kbps - Fowaral Eggy

56kbps - Finty Zooth

64kbps - Saltana oh Santana

80kbps - Octopie

96kbps - Nimmy-nimmy-nim-nim

112kbps - Lasers-Tonith

128kbps - Lasers-Pow Eggy

160kbps - Lasers-Sickly

192kbps - Lasers-Nummy-Tonith

224kbps - Gwow Tonley-Grew Henley Santana

256kbps - Gwow Tonley-Finty Zooth

320kbps - Power Nap Fast Hand-Grew Sleepy

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

For me it goes like this:

kbps - kibips

32kbps - trettito

40kbps - førti

48kbps - førtiåtte

56kbps - femtiseks

64kbps - sekstifire

80kbps - åtti

96kbps - nittiseks

112kbps - hundreogtolv

128kbps - hundreåtjueåatte

160kbps - hundreåseksti

192kbps - hundreognittito

224kbps - tohundreogtjuefire

256kbps - tohundreåfemtiseks

320kbps - trehundreåtjue

Inconsistency in the å/og, it's supposed to be all og. I can't believe I bothered typing all of these out. least interesting thread. :cerious:

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Personally, whenever I read a bitrate, I try to pronounce it in my head, and I thought it was interesting how my pronunciations were inconsistent. You don't seem to think this is worth discussing at all, but I was curious if this was happening to anyone else.

how about the variable bit rates, would be interesting to see how those fit into this scheme you've got

320kbps = noun. 'three-twenty' ... "Yo I got some new three-twenties to drop in my set tonight."

128kbps = adjective. 'one twenty eight' ... "Aw, this is bullshit. This Autechre torrent is all one twenty eight!"

I dunno who deals with <128k mp3s regularly enough to have a system of verbalizing it.

I usually describe them using a collection of squealing noises and hand signals.
