Guest Coalbucket PI
Got the upgrade last night. They are a fucking pain in the arse with their updates, I don't know why it never quite manages to transfer your settings across completely as they were. I haven't really looked at the documentation but there are a few new things that I've noticed. There is some sort of loop recorder/sampler function that I haven't tried out yet. It seems to try to guess where to put the beat grid cue marker automatically when you load new tracks, which hasn't been working for me at all, need to try and turn that off. You can zoom in on the waveform much more now which is nice for setting your own beat grids more precisely. You can put a metronome click on your monitors now but I don't know why you would want to. Other than that it's the usual slightly rearranged layout that makes you feel lost again. I still don't understand why they moved away from the adaptable layout in DJ Studio 3, when you could put all the loop/move/effects stuff in the top row however you wanted them. Since it turned into Traktor Pro the cue/move/loop stuff is under the decks and the effects are at the top; but even though there is space on the screen for multiple effects units it won't let you have them unless you do the 3 effects in one thing which means you don't have all the controls. And you have to flick between the cue/move/loop controls instead of being able to see them all at once. There are a few controls I never use and I'd like to be able to just deactivate them and focus more on the set up I want, I wish they would sort this out. And if they could make it link up with my Novation Nocturn better I would be rather pleased with that too. Guest Coalbucket PI
The upgrade was about 60 euros I think. To be honest it's probably not that much different, it looks really nifty but I haven't got down to it with any of the new aspects yet Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/65090-traktor-pro-2/#findComment-1551321 Share on other sites
