these are the first 2 songs i did in the first 30 minutes of owning a tb-303

tb-303 tr-707 zoom 123 rythm trak, zoom gfx 2 - boss mental zone mt-2 [chris moss acid techno distortion mod] - yammah ux 16 midi/usb cable

the first song was my first ever tb-303 pattern, which sound alot like two the max by jack frost and the circle jerks!

2nd was made for my friend who hates acid with a passion.

none.. i havnt touched EQ with the 303 yet...

everyone said it wouldnt sound like the 303 i love, but it sounds exactly how the 303 i love sounds!

uh its well easy to programe with pich wise! uh andy j gave me some pointers how to use triplets and bar length ect.

i programed the whole of prelude in 303 major into it and it's good! a whole bank I - 1a - 2a 32 patterns, essines witnessd me programming it all in...im buying a mackie mixer tomorrow and more leads as my set up right now is appaling..eevrything is running off 2 leads 303 fx 707 into laptop ect!

the trackwriting process is a bit funny! i havnt tried all that hard to do it propperly yet.

but i guess alot easier then a zoom 123 track programming... or maybe a 707 ..

also it only plays 4 chained patterns at a time and only the first 4 then the next 4 you cant join the first 4 with the 2nd four! but thats ok though

oh it sound beautiful if you cut off the cut off reso env and put accent full on it's freeak time baby sounding bass lines!

i also midi it up to ableton/FL via my 707.. 707 roland sync into 303 707 midi out to laptop midi in syc up to ableton = alot of fun! when i get a 606 im going to need to get a sync box so i can sync up 303707606 all up!

hopfulyl getting a 101 for xmas so i can use the cv and gate modulation via the 101...NICE!!!!!!

tracks sound neat!

the preset lines that come with [infamously acid trax by phuture used his default lines to make the track]

the machine was a crappy LC to C arpeggio!! LOL i'll record it when my batterys run out

i'm impressed that "prelude" was actually sequenced on the 303! i had assumed that he just dl'ed a MIDI and played that in real time. Did you do it off a sheet of some sort, or by ear, or off standard notation or what?

there's a guy local to me who keeps putting a 606 with the Fiercefish mod up for auction. I can keep an eye out for it if you want.

forgot to add - u should totally do yr own classical 303 piece now that you've copied Ceephax's one!

lol Acid widdlies. You sick fuck. I was thinking maybe an ABBA melody or somethign, but that will do...

if you record Prelude, make sure its adifferrent tempo, ets, to the Ceephax one. Maybe put some Amens on it...

this was just 707 and 303 done at 180bpm dropping down to 89bpm

and not the whole thing.. just the end duel when it goes quiet with loads of arpeggios it sould be easy as fuck!
