Japanese Tsunami: 15 minutes of unbelievable helicopter footage

Recommended Posts

This footage is incredible, the best one I've seen so far that captures the scale of destruction accurately.... The highway collapsing from water buildup and increasing the flow, and the stuff burning while continuing to move on with the wave... just wow.

i'm up to 7:15. and terribly frustrated. Everytime we are about to see a person or moving vehicle get inundated (or get away maybe) the camera pans away !!

yeah, choppercam operators are well trained to avoid showing that kind of thing on live tv. they'll always zoom out or pan away.

yeah! how dare they!

also, this is weird but it popped into my head while watching this.

do you think the director of Akira had seen previous footage of what the end result of a tsunami looks like? in the sense that it just accumulates so much destroyed matter that it takes up this weird meshy-skeletal makeup to it?? and it just keeps extending and covering up all that it touches?

i couldn't stop thinking about that when watching this.

I have a mixture of extreme sadness and horror knowing countless bodies are in that mess, probably never to be discovered or identified, and the poor people unable to get away from it - and all while I'm watching it from a safe distance.

Poor Japan.

my girlfriend and i had a joke before this about things 'ending like an anime'. meaning something becomes gigantic, or black and slithery, or both, or liquid, and destroys everything.

and then this....is exactly that...and we can't make that joke any more..

I kept thinking of the waves in Ponyo...

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.
