Freak of the week Posted April 9, 2011 Report Share Posted April 9, 2011 (edited) Since the division sign comes first, it's (48/2)*(9+3)=288. In case it was written like 48/(2*(9+3)), it would be 2. And that's what brackets are for anyway. That's why that equation wasn't written properly in the first place.
