Aperture

I was planning on making one Aperture track each month for a total of 12 months and then release it somewhere but that has sort of turned into dust because I'm too busy with my new job and other projects. So here's the only track that I actually finished:

@Jonas - the Aperture project is supposed to very minimalistic. Some of the other Aperture tracks I've made are even more minimalistic but I guess if one was to listen to entire album of this kind of music some of the tracks would have to be less predictable :)

@Adam - Thank you so much! I study audio design at the university and I work stock audio/music. My plan is to make sounds for movies and video games, but I don't know what the chances are of that :) But my Aperture project was actually going to be part of my CV, because each track was going to be made with inspiration from a picture. For instance, Aperture #1 was made to fit the picture I've uploaded along with the tune on Soundcloud.

Thanks! I was actually working on a Unity 3D demo a couple of days ago and I used an Aperture tune as background music and it worked really well :)

Aperture as in focus...

You'll see that the accompanied pictures on the next couple of Aperture tunes will be all blurry and out of focus just like this one...

Definitely would fit beautifully in to a soundtrack. Nice moody nostalgic vibe to it. Takes me away to memories childhood.

Thank you SO much, guys! Your kind comments only make me more confident about my Aperture project so thank you so much. As soon as I finish my exams I'll continue on some of my other Aperture demos. I played one of the new demos for a good friend of mine who is always extremely critical when it comes to music and he loved it so I can't wait to upload it for you guys to hear.

The strings are real recordings of strings, cellos, violas and so on. No plugin :)

This is fantastic ambience! I personally play (way too many) video games, and can tell you this is better than the industry norms right now. Keep it up.
