Going to see Stockhausen - Sunday from light

these are pictures taken from the first performance some days ago. Anyone seen something by him yet? I wonder how this is going to be. Tickets where pretty expensive

yeah please report back, the photos look amazing! Stockhausen's writing on music are severely underrated, or at least not popular enough imo....

It was the best I have seen so far. Took me pretty long to be able to appreciate normal music again. Just incredible. Maybe I am going to see the 2nd part on friday. Not sure yet as its 50 euros too. Its hard to describe really. I felt like I was 12 or 14 years again having no understanding of the concept of music and just letting my mind go and feel the music like I did it back then.

It felt sometimes as if you had 7 tv screens around you switching the channel all the time so I had to close my eyes from time to time to be able to focus more on the very complex music instead of the performance

Its Cologne. I was pretty surprised by this myself but seems to be quite logical in retrospect as Stockhausen spend quite a time here

Well it's the city which is most famously associated with him. Awesome though, wish I'd known about this, would have bought myself a plane ticket.

yeah exactly these are more pictures . I did not do the 2nd episode in the end because I felt it was kind of too expensive. Now I regret it.

Yeah I would say in retrospect that it would have been worth flying there to see it. Never seen something like this before. Reminded me a bit of cremaster circle but performed live with better music
