that's the classic quaristice tour mid-show breakdown where they bring everything to a sudden stop except for one little percussion sound & then build it all up again to an epic track that's the best thing they've ever done live. i'd kill for a soundboard of this.

confield, untilted, and oversteps tours were cool but the quaristice tour tops them all.

I agree--that set is so fucking tight but I've already discussed it. Oversteps tour lost me though. That set was sheer brutality. Even though some of the most brilliant bootlegs ever came from that set, I can't listen to it straight through.

I'd almost feel that Domino is the only oversteps set worth listening to. The other ones are nothing but a pain in the arse to get through and even the last 20 mins of domino are veerrrry meh.

has anyone ever compiled a bunch of great live Autechre shows/segments? I kind of want to hear their live shows but don't want to dig through all the poor sound and likely boring parts. Has anyone done the work of editor and made a nice compilation of them?

quaristice tour doesn't have any boring parts. the Los Angeles boot is the best one. sound quality is still not that great, tho.

really my biggest disappointment is that all their tours have quite a lot of recordings available EXCEPT the quaristice tour! there are only, what... 2 recordings available of this entire tour? a tragedy. Oversteps tour has a bunch of boots and they didn't even come to america on that one.

c'mon rob... sean... throw us a bone here. we know you were recording the soundboards of this tour. take the best one, give it a good mastering, make it sound how you want, and if you don't want to offer it for sale then just upload it somewhere out on the internet & then give us a clue where to find it. it would be like an internet-wide easter egg hunt.

I am still holding out hope that the EPs boxed set is the first of 3 to be released this year.
