got a macbook or imac with a bluetooth keyboard, mouse, or trackpad?

Post your RSSI (radio signal strength indicator) numbers. I'm trying to figure out what the average signal level is.

 

Just hold alt or option on your keyboard, and click the bluetooth icon, it should show you some extra information.

 

Mine:

 

keyboard: -61dbm

trackpad: -71dbm

 

They're both about a foot away from my macbook, with the lid closed.

from someone else:

 

Keyboard: -49 dBm

Mouse: -57 dBm

iMac 27", 2009

 

already, it looks like mine is getting poor reception... need more data to confirm, though.

i've had a macbook for years. they're pretty much the standard for developers these days, unless you're building on .net or something..

i suspect it means the device doesn't support RSSI readings.
