Chris Moss Acid is one of our favorite bedroom producers in the world. The man not only has an absolutely amazing catalog of self-released EPs, (plus releases on the classic, acid-proliferating Chicago-based Mathematics label and V/VM offshoot Vukzid), Chris Moss Acid has devastating live-show Roland-rave chops that he obliterates audiences with around the world...plus he's a great DJ. While old school analog-only acid is his bread and butter, he also dabbles in ambient recordings and releases equally excellent recordings as DJ Jo Quaid 5, his 8-bit/dance side project. He is one of the friendliest chaps you will ever speak to, and is deeply involved in the electronic community as a whole. He can create everything from simple ass-popping ghettotech to tear-jerking sci-fi epics, all produced with a warm analog intensity and effortless DIY aesthetic.

"Galactic Library Classics" sees Moss putting aside the Chicago / Detroit / UK rave jams for a bit of eclectic experimentation, collecting everything from world music to Radiophonic-style library ditties to...well...okay there's some 303 in there after all. But this W&D edition is a very fun, very varied, very subtly mixed arrangement of film samples, Raymond Scott acolytes, and just plain catchy electronic weirdness that covers the entire geography and entire chronology of recorded bleeps and bloops. A very fun mix from a producer/DJ who's never afraid of having fun. This didn't come out on 4/20 by accident...
