acidphakist
Well then you are kinda fucked. You don't want a sampler. You want something you can load samples into. FUCKED. oscillik
he's serious mo you say you want a drum machine that you can load samples into, but you don't want a sampler. that's kinda like saying you want a pizza without any tomato sauce, cheese, and without a bread base. Guest mohamed
interesting, any experience with it? giving a look at this, looks more entry-level for new users http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=4&tab=27 the only thing i've used from fxpansion is the vst to au adapter Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/65820-best-vstau-drum-machine/#findComment-1571513 Share on other sites

Guest Blanket Fort Collapse
isn't a sixteen step drum machine VST on a computer kinda lazy/limiting yourself for no good reason? It's fun to date a girl who is all freaking and shit and willing to do whatever crazy, kinky sexual fantasy you can cook up-- like fuck in a church pew or put on a clown wig, go 69, and let you jizz on her face. But sometimes after a hard day of work you just want to come home and have some good old fashioned missionary position sex, and you just don't want to have to deal with her trying to stick a finger up your ass or invite the neighbor's dog into the mix. That's why sometimes you just want a simple 16 step sequencer. Guest Blanket Fort Collapse
Ehhh, I mean I get where ya'lls is coming from but I think it's just a really unnecessarily strange/distorted mentality. I don't know if yall are using DAWs with really shitty midi editing or what but I don't see 16 step sequencer being more efficient or creatively inspiring. I love being able to do midi time stretching on my drums, try out 128th notes on hi hats. I have only been using Reaper and mostly just punch in percussion and melodies with midi controllers but the midi editing/sequencing/programming etc. in Reaper is so fast, easy & lets you do some crazy shit that I cannot relate to why someone would want to use a 16 step DM sequencer at all. Just put your DAW on a loop, set your grid to quarter notes/8th notes/16 notes and go for shit, that's no more complex than a 16 step and you can still do massively more interesting stuff with it when you want to get kurazy. BCM
all drum machines I have used with built in sequencers have at least 64 steps and 4 pattern banks effectively giving you at least 256 steps to play with. I just don't really get the benefit(s?) at all Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/65820-best-vstau-drum-machine/#findComment-1571956 Share on other sites

ryancolecreate
i've been using ultrabeat, and really like the combo of synth and sampling. Can get some really cool sounds when you modulate the sample w/ fm from the synth section.
