Gaga Gaga's Tunaaa Tuna Tunaaa Video

I admit I have been quite interested to see the new gaga video of Judas after all the trouble the song caused with its easter release time. I heard that the defence for the song was that it was about been with a guy that cheated 3 times. But just watched the video:

and its full of biblical references, Peter is a hells angel, she dressed like a strange woman from the times and its all set in biblical surrounds and there's a guy with a thorn crown.

I'm not the least bit religious but I could see how this would wind up those who are even more, which is great for Gaga aka New Manson as even more publicity!

If she did a similar Islamic video I would start a pool to see how long she last before she was assassinated!

ugh please stop giving this woman attention, shes almost as banal as her music.

Uh durrr its Lady Gaga of course its bad. Ever since someone on the radio said it sounds like she's saying Tuna rather than Judas its really got a lot better to listen too. And sing too.

I like some of her songs too, especially the very early stuff from before the whole Gaga thing. But this song sucks. And like all her music videos, the video sucks too.

I don't think I'll ever understand the persistence of music video style synchronized dancing. It's as if any major label-backed huge production pop star must master the art of dancing in a group of at least five people who are doing the exact same thing. Does anyone here have a more informed opinion of this shit in relation to other contemporary styles? Am I right in thinking that it's just as derivative and unimaginative as the accompanying music is in the greater scheme of contemporary music?

Also, the chorus has a lazy resemblance to the melody from 'Bad Romance', yet does not match or exceed it's precursor. In other words it's lame. I think Ms. Germanotta could stand to spend a little more time developing her writing instead of churning out a constant stream of videos. The remaining major labels seem to a have a bad tendency to over-saturate the scene with their biggest successes. Give us a break or people are gonna become tired of the same person over and over again. Scarcity contributes to value.

I used to give her the benefit of the doubt and I actually like some stuff from her first 2 albums. She was doing something different initially. Something about the latest offering has really jumped the shark for me. The Madonna ape'ing is being done more and more poorly and it bugs me that she does a faux accent in this video and at the beginning of "Alejandro"...like an Eastern European/Israeli speaking English. I think the 15 minutes are ticking ever faster at this point.

exactly, her early stuff was good pop, but the latest is terrible...seems like she panicked for her sophomore effort, her head got too big, she's strung out, or the puppet-masters who created her ditched her.

i thought the thread would be about tunak tunak, which i played for the first time in years yesterday. both surprising and not surprising it's shown up here just now

it a sad rip off of what Madonna did it first in the 80's and Lady Ga-Ga (or Master Goo-Goo) hides her cock very well

Ugh, what an awful song. I haven't listened to many of her songs, but this is the first one I've heard that really takes a dump on all things tasteful. I didn't pay any attention to the lyrics, but everything else about it is absolutely grotesque. Also, she really couldn't have chosen a more irritating voice to deliver that hook in.

i thought it felt like dozens of ideas that "worked before" thrown into a blender. the start of the song took me completely by surprise -- absolutely the last sort of musical opening i expected, given the silence of the opening footage. then she's yelling in the guy's ear with thousands of crosses of symbolic bling, and god this song is terrible. i bailed about a minute and a half in

can't say i'm a fan of any of her new stuff. the fame was aight, the fame monster less so, now i don't even know. she's never been much more than a pastiche of other pop stars*, seems like she's trying to do something fresh and just ripping them off more, somehow.
