No, it's not named after Joyrex. I'm using the Joystick input on my MSX to sync the bleeper with the drum machines. Hence the name JoyTracker.

Hey, I had a couple of MSX'es back in the days! Never really made much music with it, except some tracks made in BASIC with the PLAY command. Lovely machines!

The first versions of my program were also done in basic, it's amazing how fast x-basic runs. But eventually i had to switch to machine language. Well worth the effort imo.

Yeah, I dabbled in assembler, too. But as I was only 12 or so at the time it was slightly above my head. Still have the Sony Hit Bit and the Spectravideo in a closet somewhere. Crack them out for some Nemesis and Salamander every now and then.
