the fuck is up with the majority of mainland europe being stuck in ace of base-as-fuck nineties mode? i'm legitimately confused. can anybody explain this? i know dance music is infinitely more popular in europe (like rap in the states), but i'm literally dumbfounded by some of these entries.

can somebody please re-post that awesome sax man from last years ev.

love me that sax!

OH man... i love the eurovision. brings so much hilarity...i think that russian boy band has a good shot. Better than the british effort.

Sealand's unrecognized entry this year is amazing (if a little derivative):

it's pretty catchy, just like all the eurovision songs pretend to be, it has a message of hope, because it is so related to the current national and global context and also it uses the country's own language, which is something very important to me. it's annoying to hear so many english songs from non-english speaking countries.

The comedy highlights of tonight's show were when Voldo's sister was writhing about inside the metal sphere cage thing and the random dubstep wobble breakdown near the end of Croatia's entry.

overall tho, i thought most of the decent songs got through. except Finland, that was an asinine clunker. i'd have to disagree with Ruiagnelo, the Portugese song was a clunker too.

this is the eurovision. please understand that the music in the eurovision has little to no connection with any other music in the universe.
