Oh man, that brings back so many memories of all the action figures and playsets I used to have! <3 for that.

I think at one point I had almost all of those figures and most of the vehicles.

evil lyn was fucking hot.

Those paintings where what made up the packaging and promotional posters for the toy line - I always liked the idea of the line better than the toys themselves. We used to come up with our own heroes and villians in the MotU vein.

they also quite recently reissued the classic toys with slightly improved collectable ones. They are sold out but you can get most of these on ebay. The price is pretty expensive so.

Yeah, the cartoon is hilariously bad. They play it on saturdays on this weird local channel here. So much bad animation and strangely homoerotic.

You raise a good point. The design aesthetic for both of those shows were very similar, as were many characters. I did like the melding of the ancient and the futuristic.

when i was a kid i was given handed down he-man toys. i played with them and when i was like i dunno, 7? i sold them all in a garage sale for like 25 cents each... i wondered why these guys were going crazy over them .

i still have my lego though, so that says something.
