Guest Ranky Redlof
As Fairmont, Toronto's Jake Fairley engages with his deeper, more song-based ideas compared to his heavier dancefloor material on Kompakt and Sender. These four track on the 'Velora EP' are a curious blend of narcotic electro-pop, Italo and synthi-disco ranging from the blunted mid-tempo wooze of the title track to glazed-eye trance arpeggio missions reminiscent of Chris Carter on 'Ununoctium' and the usefully uptempo Italo glide of 'Vanguard'.
