And I've been in a bad mood a lot lately. It's a great balance of noise/chaos and melody. I haven't got all their albums but so far The Airforce is my favourite. I can't even figure out why... I just can not stand their music. I recall reading one of their lyrics once, about "looking out a window eating tofu" or something, and that's exactly what this band sounds like to me. Needlessly unpleasant. They're one of a small handful of bands that causes this feeling in me. With that said, I got a chance to see Jherek Bischoff (one of the old members of Xiu Xiu) play solo here in Seattle a few years ago and it was amazing. You probably don't like it cause it's simplistic beginner droSs of the type you could find wafting out of a myriad little music district dive bars.
