Guest maersk
The one shot samples I'm using right now aren't cutting it. I need a highly programmable drum synth (virtual) with multiple outs, or I could for some new samples too, but they've got to be of a good quality. I've been torrenting sample packs. Even after EQ, ADSR editing, compression etc most often its underwhelming. Crap in crap out. Its good to have gear that you can lay confidence in,..in the sense that you dont have to go through so much editing to get a little punch. I havent sought out a reliable developer of drum solutions although I know their everywhere. I prefer the samples dry, i need to do the tinkering by myself. Point me the right way in either direction ! Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/66318-a-good-virtual-drum-synth/ Share on other sites

Guest maersk
I use fm8 and tassman primarily actually. I need to dive in a bit more I guess. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/66318-a-good-virtual-drum-synth/#findComment-1586361 Share on other sites

jeyemusik
Image Line's Drumaxx is a pretty sweet physical modelling based drum synth. It's not the most intuitive to work with as it's envelopes aren't very traditional but you can get some unexpectedly interesting sounds as a result. Reaktor is always great for this sort of stuff too. There's a good few quality ensembles as part of the factory set and there are tonnes more in the User Library. Plus you can roll your own to what ever spec you want.
