Guest tht tne

i read a lady's opendiary, and she had a line in a poem that read "trained the stumbling clouds" which i admired

so i used it as a track title and only later did i ask her when she said it was fine she didn't like that line anyway

have you ever reappropriated a line from something to use as a track title for one of your tracks and what was it

I used "William Blake's America" as a track name, and took bits of the poem to use as lyrics, coupled with some found sound of a gangster drunkenly yelling at me on a street corner and then trying to sell me drugs.

GHOST: have you killed Claudius yet
HAMLET: no
GHOST: why
HAMLET: fuck you is why

I decided to name my album Vampire State Building, because of an inside joke between me and some friends, and before I released I noticed that there had been a band and an album already released with that name, but it didn't really matter to me so I released it like that anyways...

mountains of the moon

contrary to popular belief it is not taken from the grateful dead song, i stole it from the work in progress title for mark hollis' self titled solo album.

otherwise, i try to be as original as i can when it comes to track/album/artist names

Flight Of The Navigator : from early late 80s or early 90s? kids movie that the track reminded me of

Had the random idea to name two tracks I haven't finished from a couple of months ago after the two movies that kind of sub consciously inspired the vibes for the tracks (Never Let Me Go & Black Swan) and naming the two track EP DBL FTR after the double feature combo movie showings that rarely happen

I think that's about it.. Had a working title track called Kristen Bell's Lazy Eye.... uhhh I dunno I'm sure I had a lot of working titles for songs that were references to shit

As far as I remember I did that once with "Junpei's Sandbugs" which is a reference to a film I saw some months ago and which I found amazing : The Woman in the Dunes. Junpei, the protagonist, likes to collect sand bugs and to classify them.

That's not the story at all but anyway just get it and watch it if you didn't already.
