Question about Universal Audio vst's

Recommended Posts

Guest reyde_espana

hi... like a year ago i downloaded from a, lets say pirateBLog, the Universal Audio Manley Massive Passive and Transient Designer vst's... they work without the UAD hardware...

problem is that im about to buy a new computer and im trying to track down these plug-ins...

does anyone know if finding these plug ins was a fluke???? or did UAD actually release these???

i would just like to know if these Hardware-less UAD VST's are official or did someone crack them and released them

thanks

:orly:

No you didn't. You can't find them becasue they don't exist. It's not possible to crack UAD plugins without completely re-writing the software. That's not going to happen unless someone gets a hold of the source code. In your dreams. lol

lol, no way! wow, I will give these a shot by tomorrow.

I'm glad I didn't move to 64bit because I have way too many 32bit VST and shit that supposedly are buggy or completely don't work with 32 to 64 bit emulation bridging

Don't even bother. I haven't tried them myself, but I promise you they won't work without the hardware. 100% guaranteed not to work. This thread is foolish.

well I tried out the linked pack of plugins, it says you don't have the hardware but lets you load and look at the plugins. so basically the plugins would work if you had a card and..

I didn't know the UAD 1 can act as a VST processor for non universal audio plugins freeing up CPU stability for lower latencies.... I'm seeing some UAD 1s on ebay for a hundred us buckaroonies... seriously thinking about buying one. Anyone suggest against this idea?

why be sooo unhelpful???

this is a forum to talk hardware/software... and i had a doubt... whats up with the negativity???

No negativity. You just keep insisting that something exists which doesn't.

Well I just bought a UAD1 PCI E card for 110 bux

Awesome! Let us know if those cracked plugins work with it. I'm curious if there is a way around the copy protection once you have the actual card. I heard about some work arounds to get unlimited demos a few years ago, but they were really sketchy and involved lots of messing with the system clock.

I definitely will post back with my experiences with this adventure. I'm pretty sure that version 4.40 was cracked after doing more research, it's the only version that Universal Audio removed from their download servers. I can't afford to spend 400 bucks for one compressor so I will probably just sell it on Ebay if I can't get a cracked bundle to work.. but if the demos really impressive me beyond the PSP, Waves, Voxengo etc. compression, eq & mastering plugins I already have. I might actually have to save up to buy a 400 dollar compressor or limiter if UA compression really is as analog smooth as people are saying.

..... BUT... $400-500 bones would probably be money better spent on some mid range studio monitors. My Yamaha monitors I'm using right now I know pretty fucking well, they are alright but.. I dunno
