Loved his early singles but was disappointed by the housier stuff on his full length. Interested to hear what direction he'll be pursuing here.

Pre-ordered this on bleep (yeah... i know) but it comes with a free mix CD. Also pre-ordered the rustie album with the CD, so actually works out good value as they are both released on the same day.

Heard the single release (Masks / Viper) in my local record store this week and its a very housey affair, certainly nothing dubstep about it and very surprising that its on brainfeeder to be honest. Sounded good though.

^ yeah there's nothing dubstep or brainfeeder about it, but it's definitely a continuation of his sound and a good one at that.

I also thought about the pre-order with the bonus disc but it said they were limited to 200, and bleep being their usual selves there wasn't any way of knowing whether your order was one of the first 200.

Yeah that annoyed me as well but went for it anyway. Will be pissed off if i dont get the Bonus CD tho!!

Good review, it's persuaded me to leave off buying it for now, will give it a few listens on Spotify before deciding, An album of 4/4 house doesn't appeal. I was tempted by the limited mix CD from Bleep but like you all say, no idea if you'd get it or not.

i would take any review on Barcode with an extreme grain of salt personally, i find myself about 99% of the time completely disagreeing with the reviewer. The guy who runs the site is the annoying dude on Xltronic who has the avatar of a dog with a dildo in his mouth, can't stand that guy

Sorry, what I meant was that beyond his name I know nothing about our subject personally (other than he runs a review site and was looking for reviewers to contribute) as all we've done is exchange emails, and so far he's been a professional enough bloke.

And apologies for being terse, it's just my 2nd published review and I'm trying to build up a portfolio / credentials, so hopefully it's understandable that I might object to something that implies my review link isn't worth a bother...

Very much looking forward to this album and the second disc with the live tracks should be awesome as well. It's funny how many decent producers are into producing some kind of house nowadays. I already played the shit out of "Masks", such a nice track.
