Guest Blanket Fort Collapse
I don't really get it, how are they controlling that software? why is it going out of tune like a kid who doesn't know how to play/blowjob the clarinet? seems very impressive but I don't compute Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/66566-modalysircamclarinet/#findComment-1593270 Share on other sites
Boxus
i dont get the first video either - someone playing clarinet poorly through a messy max patch? the second one looks really cool though. marf
no the software was making the clarinet sound. It isn't perfect, but it sounds real. No samples. This program lets you build instruments. Non of this analog modelling shit. You can build a cello the size of a boat plucked by a ten foot dick Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/66566-modalysircamclarinet/#findComment-1594925 Share on other sites
awepittance
sounds nice, but the Yamaha vl1 sounds more convincing to me in the right hands, and came out in 1994. It is nice to see this type of stuff finally being done on msp running on am intel computer. Until recently, most really good sounding phys mod stuff has been dsp chip hardware stuff only. I am absolutely obsessed with physical modeling synthesis, but I'm not much of a programmer myself, definitely interested in trying more of the IRCAM stuff. Things like Sculpture (logic pro) Corpus, Tension, Collider (Abelton), are just the beginning i think of something very exciting and completely game changing. IT's just a matter of time before using samples to recreate realism is a totally outdated technique Edited June 5, 2011 by Awepittance Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide awepittance's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/66566-modalysircamclarinet/#findComment-1594958 Share on other sites
