Trying out some new things

Hello. I'm attempting to evolve my production style somewhat in to new territory, and I'm going to do it in front of everyone so if it's shit then I'm likely to find out sooner. Yeaah!

Liking the natural sounds !

Though at times the synths can get kind of trancey,

But when you have the piano and everything there too, boy does it work

And the background white noise is good in between the louder bits

Yea that trancey synth, not sure why it's there to be honest! It seemed to make sense at the time but on reflection, it's a bit cheesy. Will probably change that if I work on this some more (but I've been doing new stuff so I probably won't revisit it for a while).

Yeah I totally know what it feels like to listen to something you´ve made, know that you knew what you were doing and there was some strong idea behind it, but you have know idea what it was haha

man this is great. If you would mix it better it would be a fucking hit! Other than that it's really good. Oh and maybe the ending is too abrupt, no? Anyway, really nice.

It's interesting you say this, because I'm making a conscious effort to try and make my stuff a bit less squeaky clean, hehe! I've hardly ever used distortion plugins in the past, but I'm really liking the results I've been getting with the Ableton ones so yeah, future stuff might be a bit more grubby.

Absoulely wonderful. I can't really put my finger on anything... but but but... if I was you I might just turn down the main lead a tiny bit :)

Really nice. I don't know if I like the lead that comes in at 2:03 - it sounds a bit odd in context, at first. But I'm nitpicking, it's a beautiful track and it develops very well. Nice one :)

nice sketch, maybe you can variate the velocity of that plucked synth, layer it or change up with another sound mid through? Mixed rather hard now compared to the other sounds imo.

Yeah this is something I've been changing, that synth line got a bit pushed in the shit-quick mastering job I did! I've sort of broken it up a bit more so there's a wee C section bridge, and the melody's been layered up/passed on to a couple of different instruments.
