i just ordered an rm1x from japan, got it in the mail yesterday only to find that the lcd screen has lines running through it making bits impossible to read.

I've never really had problems buying from ebay... and the guy had a good rating too, i know that can be faked but..

so now i send it BACK to japan , and i hope i don't lose any money in the process. fucking hell.

p.s.s. , now i've got to find another one. i thought i'd scored largely when i bought it for it's price.. now i'm probably going to have to shell out more money. it would sure help if i lived in the states.

could you just get the screen repaired? might be cheaper and less hassle...

^This. If it's an easy to find/standardised-size screen then finding a replacement (and even fitting it yourself) shouldn't be too much of a hassle. You could even get a spare from Yamaha direct probably.
