from a show with Boonesboro, one of the bands I play with:

rainbow%252520shirt%252520and%252520strat.jpg

Fender American Select Stratocaster

-crimson mahogany body

-maple neck, rosewood fretboard

-22 frets

-2 Tex-Mex single-coils and a Diamondback humbucker

-S-1 pickup switching (2x5-way)

-chrome hardware

-rolling nut (bearings)

-locking tuners

-strap locks

I had a friend pull out the higher tone knob (rewiring it so there's just one master tone) and move the volume knob into its place because I hate where Fender (and Jackson, and Ibanez) put them.

Vox all-analog modeling tube amp (for live)

Guitar Rig (for home studio stuff)

Dean Exotica BB

  Reveal hidden contents

I used to have a shit ton of pedals, but I sold them all except for my tuner, Blues Driver and my DL4 as I stopped using them as much and needed the money.

from the rock days of the Davis Levels, another of the bands I play with (pretty sure this is an American Tele and Guitar Rig):

from my wahrk EP delve (this is my Strat and Guitar Rig, though it was originally just straight from the pre through only Renoise native effects):

There's also another track with some guitaring on my upcoming release.

I sold a bunch of stuff when I moved across country, including a couple floorboards' worth of pedals and a deluxe strat plus.

Now I'm just down to:

PRS CE22, tobacco sunburst (was supposedly a factory prototype paint job)

My ancient Yamaha acoustic which is worth about 3 dollars now but I've had it for 18 years and it's not going anywhere.

Then I have a line6 2X12 combo amp, which replaced an old Carvin MTS that I loved, and which I think is still in my mom's basement and probably needs a refurbishing.

I can tweak the line 6 modeling enough to get some pretty serviceable tones (especially with judicious SM-57 placement) even though it lacks all manner of hipster cred, plus I'm usually just fucking around in logic or whatever anyway.

oh wow that's awesome. i've always wondered about changing necks on guitars. my samick has a 1-piece maple neck and i'd like to replace it with one with a rosewood fretboard. or maybe even the fretless from the warlock clone.. i don't play the fretless very often mostly because the pickups kinda suck.

i should post some pics of my guitars soon.

Thanks dude, I'm curious why you want to move away from Maple?

Rosewood seems like it's stickier more often to me. My buddy says it's alright with "Freteaze" or something like that but I never understood why you would want to have a neck you have to lube up just to play.

p.s. fretless is awesome :P

i've never had a problem with rosewood fretboards, the ones on my guitars are pretty great (the fretboard on my mustang is BEAUTIFUL). it's mostly a looks thing really. i just think they look kinda out of place. actually it's mostly noticeable on my tele after i painted it (i painted the headstock as well).

oh and by the way…………….you lucky bastard

I got it cheap - like $135 I think.

I saw another one a few months later at a pawn shop, but they wanted $400 or something, which is probably what they go for anyway.

Currently I own a Gibson Les Paul studio and some cheap accoustic...

I have owned a couple Ibanez's in the past, kinda wish I didn't sell the DX-120

Also, had this one for a while I called the Frankenstrat, cause it was made from a bunch of various guitar brand components and was from he 70's or so, it was an ex-girlfriends dad's... It had been up in an attic for years.
