Thompost - Away

Made this today. It hasn't quite been finished but I need to form my idea about the project a bit more before I can seal the deal. Quite excited for an afternoons work.

Very cool!!

I don't really have that much to add. It's pretty fucking cool as it is but I would probably add a long and warm pad somewhere near the end... or maybe some strings. Nothing too epic. Just something very subtle that ties the whole thing together :)

EDIT: Wait... one of the vocal cut ups sounds like the girl says "shit" and this gets repeated quite a lot. I would remove this so she only says it every second or fourth time.

EDIT2: And another thing... You should remove the vocals right when the guitar starts @ 0:21 and then let the vocals return when the beat kicks in... you know, just to add some dynamics and make room for the guitar.

Thanks! There's a synth in there somewhere towards the end but I'm not satisfied by it because its a vst rather than a sample. it will change to a sample soon and i will try making a pad out of it :) Got some subtle melodies in mind for it!

Yeah, i guess it does sound like "shit" but i kinda heard it as a closing hi-hat... Might have a go at masking it a bit more :)

Good shout with the vocals. i'll have to leave some of them in because of the guitar samples having vocals in.

Already started remixing another track by this chick. Definitely going for a sample based project....this is too much fun.

Well, the chick who lived in this room before me left it here.

I just used my DAW to chop up the audio. That's all. Other than that just one sampler for the bass and one of the melodies.

that's some nice vocal chopping.

Would be super nice to be able to download this :) though if you don´t want that that´s fair enough.
