schlucharski
hey guys, maybe this has been brought up, anyways, theres lots of hip soft- and hardware sampling-gear that makes everything "in sync" as long as you provide the BPM of your source. Having a loop I tap to determine the BPM, most of the time this works, if the loop is too short or "broken" it may not. So I wonder how you guys do it. I want to achive as much accuracy as possible. psn
Import sample in Cubase and make sure the transients line up to the grid, tweaking the BPM to the 1/1000th if necessary. Guest Adam
Yeah or in Fl you can do the same. I believe you can do this in almost any daw (not renoise lol ) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/66692-measure-bpm/#findComment-1597054 Share on other sites
Squee
I usually just make a loop, make sure it loops properly, drag it into Logic which is set to a certain tempo, and then I time stretch the loop I made so it fits the grid. Easy. This is what I do in Reaper. It may not be the easiest way, but it is the most accurate. Easy. And if you want to think about it from another angle, you can change the tempo to alter the grid to fit the sample. schlucharski
thank you very much for the advice everybody. I had similar thoughts but with a mixture of selfdenial and laziness...and indeed Reaper is great, I bought it, but I still don't use it, lol I shall about this ffs everytime I want to work with it, and I don't know how to do something, I get frustrated, and go back to my ancient cubase.
