the filters and oscillator FM sounds pretty damn close to a real 200e. He doesn't include some of the more fancy Buchla 200e modules, but it's pretty much like getting a starter system. Very capable of doing the classic Morton Subotnick 'buchla bongo' sound. It's also modular, so you can make your own patching configurations.

It does look fantastic but after trying it I was disappointed, really didn`t like the sound of it at all. Found it to be quite unmusical and too much hassle to program. Sounded boring imho. 4/10.

That's good to know, especially since Buchlas seem so coveted.

oh man this thing sounds fucking amazing. Super analog sounding. I suppose "musical" is completely relative really though. If you're looking for sh-101 lush sounds then no this is not for you. If you want something that sounds like an electronics workbench that has come to life and is eating in your living room, then this is amazing.

Yeah it's very workbench oriented, and the sound quality is uncompromising. I like its individuality and character.

Yeah, matter of taste I guess, I prefer more controlled and clean sound.
