Goiter Sanchez
Shit, great track! Amazing to see how they perform TKOL style percussion live with a double-drummer attack! Hope this one gets a release. beerwolf
I need a dose of live Radiohead and soon. Last time I saw them was when they toured Hail to the Thief, which was some time ago but the show was mind blowing, even for a large venue like Earls Court. The band are obviously together and in each others company so new material or a tour will hopefully happen. I seem to be in the minority (which is always a good thing imo) that all the new material is fab. KOL, Butcher/Collider and this? All fucking spot on. Suffocate Peon
Notice how utterly miserable and despondent Ed looks with a face that says; 'why am I even here?' in the background at the end as Thom is doing his hand dance. It's weird how they can do a track of this quality but at the same time you just know it's not quite album quality. I guess the 2nd disc of In Rainbows is like an ep though not classed as such, but I don't know why they don't release eps in between the huge gaps in between albums and put loads of experimental [instrumental] one-off tracks on them. Seems they're at the point now where they've settled into a style they don't need to try to escape from; it's always very Radiohead-ey and very good. I've just realised exactly what I mean are the B-sides that came from the Hail to the Thief sessions, exactly that ! jules
this is the other newer song they will be playing on the from the basement session. should be killer. starts of like a normal radiohead ballad and morphs into another groove oriented shaker. curious to see what radiohead does with this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQSE6xdFczQ&feature=player_embedded Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide jules's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/67035-new-radiohead/#findComment-1606714 Share on other sites
Guest Greg Reason
That song is fantastic! I must admit I closed my eyes so I could just take in the music so will need to watch again later to get the silly hand dances but musically it's wonderful. One of their best of this era of their work I think Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/67035-new-radiohead/#findComment-1607000 Share on other sites
