Amazon WTF

So I've started trying to learn Japanese again. To help me in this endeavour, I've decided to get a Japanese language children's book. They should be written in simple Japanese, and my ability to read it should be a rough indicator of how well I know Japanese.

I had no luck trying to find one on Amazon with the terms "Japanese children's book", so I tried something creative. I took the Japanese term '本の子' (honnoko, children's book) and put it into Amazon.co.uk.

I shit you not, this was the first result:

So, what, do they think Japanese people looking for books with children in them must be looking for this? What is going on?

am i wrong in thinking your japanese characters reverted to some random character in the amazon search?

you don't have the right unicode charset installed, so your search ended up with a bunch of weeaboo otakus who were after pictures of japanese schoolgirls but also didn't have the right unicode charset installed? edit: and about half of them were coders or web designers or something.
