This article isn't really about what it claims to be about, as usual with science journalism.

 

So they basically just shoved some experimental data from specific experiments with pendulums etc into a computer with some genetic algorithms and it was able to figure out the underlying relationships.

 

Sort of interesting, but thats not all the 'laws of physics'.
