EMI RS124 isnt loading up in ableton live 8.2.2

hi... today i tried to install the AbbeyRoad EMI RS124 compressor on my pc and for some reason it isnt showing up in ableton vst tab in Ableton

the vst is properly located in the VST folder... with all the others im using... it just wont load up in Live...

it installed fine on my other comp... which is the same model that im using now (i had to return the first one cause it was faulty and got a second one whith the same specs and everything)

can anyone help??!?! its my favorite plug in... i use it on everything...

is one 64 bit and the other 32?

both are 64 bit machines....

all the plug ins are 32 bit... but they all installed fine on the later comp... so its really weird the RS124 wont load up on this one...

im desperate for help guys... most of my sessions are fu**ed up without this plug in.

if you weren't able to get it to work, can't you just move all your project folders to the pc that it does work on? or even just swap HDs if they're the same hardware. at least you could get your stuff to work then

I think OP said he had to take the first one back to the store so that's not an option...

isn't loading up is not a very specific symptom description. do you get an error? do you even see that it's in your VST plugin directory in Ableton? describe exactly how shit goes down when you try to add it manually.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that maybe you haven't actually tried to add it and your just opening old projects that were using it that tell you the RS124 is nowhere to be found.

My first guess is that you don't have the VST .dll in the correct directory and Ableton hasn't found it. Make sure to look at the folder that Live has set for where all your VSTs are and make sure the EMI's .dll is in there.

If you really need help on this you are going to need to detail the issue in depth or we are just sitting here guessing without knowing specifically what is going on.

the EMIRS124 .dll is in the correct directory allon with all my other vsts... but it just wont show up in the vst directory

when i open old projects that have the RS124 it just says to vst is missing...

i really DO WANT HELP....

so just tell me what you need to know

I have the same problem with certain plugs myself. Friggin blows. I know they're installed right.

exactly...

but its my favorite compression plug in... really all i use is the Duende SSL, Focusrite midnight/scarlet and the EMI RS124... which is my GoTo with vocals and guitars... nothing beats it...

so is there nothing to do with this issue?!!???

Working here, winXP 32bit, but I haven't updated in a while. Still using Live version 8.1.3, and RS124 v1.0.0.

Ive got Windows 7 64bit...

my frustration comes from it having worked fine on an identical computer... as well as my Vista 64bit machine... but not on this new one...

makes no sense to me...

This problem is why I can't use Izotope Ozone. It's installed correctly, just doesn't show up inside Live
