I've got the full keyboard version, the CS6x, and its great. I've had it for over a decade now and I still haven't fully tapped its potential.

Really depends on what you're wanting to do, though.

Well I just want something that is basically fairly easy to edit unlike my JV 1080 which I'm still struggling to get to grips with. Also the filters and modulation need to be powerful.

Easy to edit, it is not.

much as i like the CS6r, it is not easy to program no and your woes with the 1080 lead me to say again - stop buying this cheap stuff you see on eBay - there's a good reason it's all cheap! nobody wants the bloody things...flog all them fucking ROMplers you got and invest in just ONE piece of quality gear or soup up your computer or something... Hell, if money's an issue you could do a lot worse than a Nord Micro Modular - will kick the living shit out of your current gear and can be had for about £300 or less.

Yeah I'm gonna be getting a new pc soon so probably won't get anymore hardware. I do like having hardware though as its fun. I've only got two bits of kit this year ... an Akai S2000 and a JV1080. The JV1080 has a lot of decent presets it has to be said though and I've started using it in a number tunes. Really all I need now is to figure out just how I can add fx in multi timbral mode and I'll be happy. :-)
