simple piano piece

it's tonally simple. it's 4/4, but not completely straightforward. production-wise, it's kind of crap, it's just a sampler in reason with some reverb.

i dunno, i wanted to write something down-key and not have to care about mixing, i'd be glad to hear what you think.

low key, not down key. i don't know what the fuck down key means.

It isn't really 4/4, even if that's the metre you used in reason, which is a good thing as it adds rhythmic interest. Too many root position triads and not quite enough melodic activity for my taste, kinda hovers around the G Maj/E Min area in a way which suggests you didn't quite know how to get out of it. Try respacing the chords and modulating a bit perhaps...

thanks for the criticism. i'll just have to look those music theoretical terms up on wikipedia first.
