Nice warmth to this at the start and it builds up well too. Was the slightly lo-fi feel and hiss in this intentional or just the recording. Either way, I like it.

Both. It's intentional because I think the slightly lower quality feel sounds interesting and gives my music a cool/strange environment, but non-intentional because I'm recording with my synth plugged up to my computer by guitar cable with Audacity and haven't bothered to find a new DAW to work with, haha.
