Gotta hype this a little. awesome party music. t's really not electro at all. But it is super fun. Has great art. And is from an amazing reissue label that may not be as well known as it should be. Omni has reissued a lot of country music, but it's all good really. But they do weird synth/exotica stuff sometimes, like this one.

from Dusty Groove:

"A wild, eye-opening compilation of retro futurist exotica from Russia – wild stuff that blends surf, B-movie and other pulp influences with trash rock & electro – all made in the post Soviet Russia scene and released in the west for the first time ever on this crazy compilation from Omni! The sounds are pure trashy fun and make for a strange union of Bruce Haack, Les Baxter and The Cramps. Synth grooves, retro exotica influenced melodies, cheeky dialogue samples more – much of it with a strung out electro vibe, but still with strains of garage & surf rock."

can't wait to check this out, thanks for the tip!

i can't figure out how to get hold of a copy of this?

if you're in the US, this website has most/all of the Omni releases for as cheap as I have seen:

http://www.importcds.com/

get Plantation Gold while you're at it, that is the best one by far. All of Omni's cds have nice thick booklets filled with interesting info about the music.
