Brian Eno is half of that list. They could have spread it out over more artists too.

at least they have Main and Pole on there.

I haven't looked at the list, but... Disintegration Loops is a great album, really haunting... not sure If I buy the story that he was transferring the tapes on 9/11 though, seems like made-up hype.

basinski is great at hype. it's an amazing (set of) albums, though.

Crap list, pretty much totally off the mark. Most of the list seems more like a "records that inspired ambient music" sorta thing, rather than a list of ambient albums outright. I mean Young Marble Gods? The first Kraftwerk album? Seriously?

So you took what you thought was a shitty list and decided to post it? We've already had plenty of threads about ambient music - surely one of those places would be indicative of what WATMM thought of ambient music.
