Classical musos help!

i'm hoping there's someone here that is infinitely more knowledgeable about classical music than i am.

you know that often played recording of Mars, Bringer of War from The Planets...which recording is it (year, and which orchestra)?

trying to source a CD copy, since the only copy we have in the house is a home taped cassette from a record that my dad owned.

It's probably a BBC or London Philharmonic recording. But there have been so many recordings of the planets it's hard to say for sure.

yeah, i checked wikipedia and there's like, loads of recordings :-/

i guess i'll have to find out another way. thanks though guys
