Studio In A Silo

if aphex can have a tank, why can't i have a studio in a silo? it'd be situated in the middle of a grassy field somewhere with sheep, and it would have oodles of circular portal windows.

in the center of the silo is a motorized, deluxe command chair. it travels up and down the entire height of the silo by motor, controlled by a joystick. a circular floor cutout gives you a proper place to put your feet. the chair swivels rotationally around the lift pole, allowing 360 degree access. you go up to synthesizer depth, and there is a circle of gear around you. hungry? head down to galley depth, where you are surrounded with a fridge, microwave, and tap instead. the floorplan would approximately be as follows:

Level B: Underground. Engineering, Power, Plumbing, and an indoor, underground entrance tunnel from the main compound.

Level 1: Ground Level. Coat racks, Cupboards for mittens, maybe a bicycle leaning against the wall. Door to field outside.

Level 2: Bathroom. Crapper. Sink. Moist Wipes. Urinal that can be used from command chair.

Level 3: Galley. Fridge, Microwave, Tap, Sink, Dishes, Cabinets, Napkins, Curly Straws

Level 4: Studio. Circle of gear with a gap to allow access 'round back, for recabling etc.

Level D: The Top. The Dome. Completely clear and open view. Lots of pillows. Water pipe.

I didn't specify dimesions!

I was figuring the interior space would be something like 15-20 feet in diameter per floor. You'd be able to get off the chair and walk around a bit. Each floor would be as short as possible while still allowing you to stand comfortably.

What do I need to pirate to design this sort of fing? Solidworks? Blender? I want a 3D widget, not some Autocad floorplans.

There's a silo within the space where a band I play bass for rehearses. (Fuck, there's something about every sentence I type today that weirds me right out.) It gets wicked reverb and I intend on using it for recording.

There was a website years ago which let you upload wav files before playing them in a huge disused grain silo and sending them back to you with immense natural reverb on it.

the sites moved or finished but it was called tank-fx

There's only one other factor to consider, unless you're building your own then you'll have to settle with living in a remote part of the mid-west.

i was figuring this would be a custom construction. not sure if real silos are designed to hold weight like this....

on the other hand, i was picturing cows 'n' sheep around it.
