The earliest material on the album, such as 'Low Grav Freefall', 'Children Playing with Lego' and 'Lachryma', have been completely remixed using the original Cubase project files, for the highest possible audio fidelity.

Bloody hell, didn't think I'd hear some of these again, reminds me of downloading his stuff from ElectronicScene.com back before he'd got anything released. Lovely stuff. Not sure about the artwork, mind...

Pity there's nothing that hasn't been put out before but I'll take them if they're remastered, plus it's a good excuse to bung the great man a few quid and show some support. I really hope he hasn't given up releasing music for good.

New EP in the works too. From Facebook:

The physical release will be an EP of new material, some of which has been glimpsed on the Auratic Artefacts we made last year, as well as early demos on SoundCloud (though the music has undergone some pretty radical changes since then). I'm shooting for some vinyl, budget-permitting. Currently in the 'feasibility study' stages. ;) I'd rather not crowd-source the manufacturing costs though.

This is fantastic! Really, this guy can do no wrong... his music isn't incredibly varied, but he is certainly good at what he does. Not a bad track on any of his albums! :music:

I hadn't heard any of the material here (except the remix of Low Grav Freefall) so this is a nice treat. And pay what you want... can't beat that!

Neither had I, so I was very excited.

Remastered Distant Retreat is fantastic, always loved this track!

I remember discovering Ochre on mp3.com, and hearing Children Playing with Lego... he only had a few tracks up at the time, and not many listeners, so I sent him an email showering that track with the highest praise. He then used that email as a review to promote himself on mp3.com :) I have an old album of his printed on black cdr, like a Playstation disc.

Dane, that was a hugely proud day for me; you were one of the first people to respond positively to my music, and I'll never forget that -- thank you.

Of course, using your email like that wasn't particularly professional or tactful of me -- hope you didn't mind too much!

  • 1 year later...

I just started getting into this guy's music. His music is really good, i've been listening to it at work on spotify. He also posts tracks here from time to time I have realized from searching this forum. He has posts in YLC with ZERO replies.

High quality stuff. Really good sense of melody. Even his stuff going back a few years is really good.

I was not aware he has posts in YLC with ZERO replies. Any links? I'll see that I can do about this.
