Guest AcrossCanyons
are any tracks produced under "the black dog" or does the moniker serve purely to release psuedo-compilations? Guest AcrossCanyons
according to discogs bytes is "black dog productions" and is a compilation of sorts, but everything else is just "the black dog" and everything is tagged as such. is this right? total nub to the black dog and the moniker is confusing me. eh Speedy
Most is by "The Black Dog". They've said in interviews that Bytes seems like a compilation, as they did they tracks individually among the 3 of them, but it's really just the first Black Dog album. only other thing named under Black Dog Productions was the Black Dog Productions EP on Rising High which was not named by their choice. Rising High was just trying to capitalize on the Black Dog name even though it was done under the Balil and Atypic artist aliases. Black Dog Productions was already the name of their own label which they started up cos nobody would sign them, so they just used that. it is the first Black Dog album like SPD said. and is only considered a compilation because they would work on tracks individually, hence the different pseudonyms/alias's, and then brought a bunch together for the album, basically. Handley/Turner (Plaid) left The Black Dog in 1995.
