Saw this. Love 808 State but who cares. It's just another greatest hits record, probably bested by 808:88:98 anyway.

I'll probably get it anyway.

I sort of know what you mean. 808state are an integral part of my musical upbringing. But even this seems a step too far. Why not just release a new album? I always remember people saying Don Solaris was going down badly. It's still an mainstay for me. This unfocused sort of release just leaves me cold.

Don Solaris is their best fucking record by light years. Forget all that wanky acid house. Quadrastate is where they started to show what they could really do.

It's fair to say I know almost nothing about this band/artist.

Then Blueprint may very well be great for you. And I'd get that newer 2 disc version of Don Solaris. It's techno but it's got this latin festival thing going on filtered though UK sensibility.

In fairness this the the 1st hits comp in 13 years. only problem being that there isn't much to add.

its only £6 inc shipping, i doubt its chi-ching for anyone but it'll be nice to here a few new mixes and tracks.

Yeah, I posted that comment before I saw the pre-order on Amazon, so I agree with you. Meh. Maybe it'll be interesting. I guess we'll soon see. :)

So much this. Don Solaris is one of those albums that rarely stays on the shelf for long.
