TechDiff
Touch OSC is the mutts! Very easy to use, takes a bit of getting used to at the start, once you're into it though its easy and fun It should be said though, that although the ipad can to some degree serve as a replacement for the Lemur. The Lemur does offer many more control options than touch OSC. It is a far more developed piece of kit. Honestly, find a couple videos to see the difference. The Lemur is faaar more capable in than touch OSC in its current state. However the ipad can do a million other things, and as someone mentioned already, with the line 6 midi mobilizer if gets pretty awesome! So many great audio apps (and ten times as many shitty ones) numerous midi control apps, not to mention the games, organiser things, internet browsing, films and music etc etc. Ive had mine for a year now, and with the exception of computers, its been the best thing I've ever bought. The choice is really between a thing that can do one job very very well, and another thing that can do a load of jobs reasonably well. What I would suggest though, if possible before buying either. Spend a fair time trying a touch screen midi controller, it's not for everyone, and it'd be a shame to drop 500 moneys for something that you later decide aint quite you.
