it took 6 minutes to get here. pretty fascinating. they were evacuating some buildings, not sure why.

Supposedly it was felt in Boston. I heard people talking about it at work, then reading it happened in freakin' Virginia and I thought "who cares, man!"

I didn't feel a single thing and there were apparently some evacuations farther up north. WTF?

It was an awkward moment .

people at my office were freaking out for real. it was such a minor thing but they lost their shit. buildings in our area were evacuating too.

there is this woman i work with who i find increasingly annoying, well her husband is even worse. his building was evacuated and he texted his wife at our office to see if she could go online to see if the earthquake was over. i couldn't even respond to that.

I slept right through it. Must have not been too bad in my area.

Glad it was nothing serious.

I felt it up here in Bangladesh Queens. Cuz Queens always knows whats up with da boroughs. If it din' happen in Queens, ain nuttin happen.

Same. I was like "wtf" then my roommate said "IS STUFF SHAKING?!" Then I thought HE was losing HIS mind and then I looked and was like THE SUBWAY TRAINS ARE TRANSFORMERS RUN! No but we both realized that this was real and was happening at the same moment and it was very wtf indeed.

I like the swaying earthquakes... the kind that give you that affect that makes you think you're dizzy!

yea it was definitely a vertigo effect for me. seemed like my confusion lasted longer than the actual quake. like I was afraid to ask if anyone else was feeling it.

Same here in RI, there was a moment after lunch when my computer monitor went into some Tacoma Narrows kinda harmonic motion, albeit quite subtle. About and hour later my canadian co-worker asked if anyone felt an earthquake and I was all like keanu whoa.

What's even more boggling is that they evacuated our state house, which, if it's anything like your respective state houses, and there is a God, should have been smoten ages ago.
