Couple questions about the new site layout

Could one of the mods maybe answering what the deal is with the forum index, it looks like it now updates the topics in real time so I guess when my browser is sitting at the forum index, it is actually requesting updates from watmm in 30 second intervals or something?

I noticed that if i leave my browser on the forum index and come back like 20-30 minutes later, sometimes I'll have a message from IE8 that says "a script on this page is causing the browser to run slowly. terminate the script? yes/no" also what is that green graphic with the dots i see at the top of the screen, is that when it auto-updates? are there any other places on watmmm where your browser will now send "hidden" requests to watmm.com?

I turned that shit off because I didn't like the look of it and it made my habitual WATMM browsing feel wrong.

Stop using IE anything - it's JS engine is a dog and that's why you're getting those script messages.
