great idea. no smartphone yet.

why not just do an online one like http://www.lexulous.com/ and forget the smartphone thing?

Is it an exact Scrabble clone?

interesting...i thought i was the last person on earth to get a smartphone. ok we'll use an online version. but i don't like the idea of having to play in one sitting. the best thign about wordfeud is you have 72 hours to play so you can play when on the bus or the toilet and you don't have to play when you don't have time etc

i dont know actually, i used to play it on Facebook when it was called Scrabulous but then they got sued so it probably isn't a scrabble-clone now.

There must be a decent free straight-scrabble-clone out there though

Yea I'm worried about not being able to be available for any of the play time. My schedule is hectic, and it may be difficult to match schedules with people over-seas.

SIGN MY ASS UP!!!

Words with friends... definitely!

btw...

I've been in a warm-up competition with Uptown Devil and that muthafucka can play.

i'm in, but to reiterate what others have said:

*non-smartphone app

*a gameknot-style setup where a game doesn't have to be finished in one sitting

why don't we just have a Risk tournament @ http://www.conquerclub.com ? FREE, 24-hours to take your turn, lots of maps to choose from, up to 8 players per game, etc..

i'll soon see the light if i like it or not

Count me in!

for scrabble or for the risk tourney?

i've had an online Risk account at Conquer Club for 2 years. it's infinitely better than the board game as it incorporates more diverse gameplays and nearly 100 maps. we could do singles, dubs, or a trips tourney - fog, no fog, etc. take a look at the gameplay modes and other stuffs here:
